For all those people out there who thought Warner Bros.' opening weekend estimate was more optimistic than realistic, a good ol' fashioned Joker "HA HA HA HA HA!" on you.

"The Dark Knight," estimated to bring in $155.4 million during its opening weekend, actually brought in $158.335 million. In addition, "The Dark Knight" made $41.3 million in ticket sales from foreign markets (the film is being shown in 20 territories). Worldwide, the film has grossed $199.655 million.

In a related story, the Hollywood Reporter says that despite the fact that "The Dark Knight" is screening on a record-breaking 4,366 theaters, moviegoers are still surfing eBay and Craigslist for tickets. Of course, the most valuable of these are the tickets for IMAX screenings ("The Dark Knight" is playing on 94 IMAX screens). On eBay, these IMAX tickets are going for about $50 each.

So, to sum up this crazy weekend, "The Dark Knight" has broken the following records:

1. Theater count - 4,366 theaters

2. Midnight showings (total) - $18.5 million

3. Midnight IMAX total (94 screens) - $640,000

4. Opening day total - $67.8 million

5. Opening weekend Sunday total - $43 million

6. Opening weekend total - $158.4 million

7. Biggest opening weekend gross for an IMAX release - $6.21 million

8. Biggest opening weekend of 2008 - $151.340 million
