Variety reported today the Guilermmo Del Torro has officially signed on to direct "The Hobbit" and a second film which will bridge the gap between "The Hobbit" and "The Fellowship of the Ring." It's a relief to "Lord of the Rings" fans everywhere that the Hobbit is finally moving forward.
