Ebert to Resume Writing About Film Despite Inability to Speak
filed under   News

Yahoo News is reporting that film critic Roger Ebert will return to writing later this month. As he is still unable to speak, he will not return to his television program.

Ebert, age 65, addressed his readers in the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday wherein he explained that he had suffered complications from a surgery earlier this year and that his speech was not restored. According to the letter, he would need another surgery in order to get back the power to speak.

Ebert had undergone surgery on three separate occasions before this one, all for cancer. He is currently cancer free, but does not want to go through another surgery.

Eberfest, the critic's annual film festival at the University of Illinois will include 13 films and run from April 23rd to the 27th.

You may want to fix correct the spelling of the word "speak" in the title. I'm sure it was a typo.
